Website privacy
This website collects basic information, such as data submitted through contact forms and standard cookie data, to respond to inquiries and improve the site. Please do not share personal health information through this website.
Clinical records, where applicable, are maintained separately in a secure electronic health record system in accordance with applicable privacy legislation. Brief records may also be kept related to consultation inquires and consultations, even if we do not move forward with ongoing therapy. For privacy-related questions, please contact rachel@true-northcounselling.ca.

The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical or mental health advice. A therapeutic relationship is established only after a signed consent agreement and a confirmed booking.
Crisis notice
This website and inbox are not monitored continuously and are not intended for emergencies or crisis situations. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact (9-1-1 or contact a crisis line such as 9-8-8, available 24/7 in Canada.
Social media, reviews & testimonials
To protect your privacy and confidentiality, please do not post reviews or testimonials about my services.
As a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), I am not permitted to solicit or use client testimonials or endorsements in advertising, including on websites and social media. This helps protect client confidentiality and uphold the integrity of the therapeutic relationship.
If you choose to share something about your experience online, please be aware that doing so may inadvertently identify you as a client, and publicly posted content can remain accessible indefinitely. If you have feedback to share, you are welcome to contact me directly. I welcome the opportunity to hear from you.
Will I respond to a review?
No. To protect client confidentiality, I am unable to respond in any way that confirms or denies whether someone is or has been a client. This applies to all platforms.
If you have a concern you would like addressed, please contact me directly so we can work through it together.
Complaints
Your right to raise a concern is important. If you have a complaint about my practice that you would prefer to direct to my regulatory body, you are welcome to contact the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW) directly.
The OCSWSSW oversees the professional conduct of registered social workers and social services workers in Ontario and has a formal complaints process available to the public.
